From WoW Insider:
We are nearing the end of Noblegarden, but haven’t discussed here at WoW Insider the most controversial part of the event: Shake your Bunny-Maker. For this achievement, you have to put bunny ears on one female of each race that is over Level 18.
The name and picture of that fictional album is undeniably sexist and degrading to women. But does that apply to the in-game actions of forcing bunny ears on appropriately "aged" females? Sutro at Feministing.com seems to think so (as do a few of our readers who wrote in about this topic). He calls this achievement "unconscionable", which is a pretty strong word.
Without a doubt, putting the ears only on female characters and having them be the equivalent of legal age to pose nude is a reference to Playboy. And Playboy, as most adults know, is a men’s magazine with naked women inside AKA smut or porn. Many people believe that all porn objectifies and is otherwise demeaning to women, even if considered tasteful as many consider Playboy to be.

From timesonline.co.uk:
A primary school teacher who sent sexually explicit text messages to a 14-year-old boy whom she met through an interactive computer game was jailed for 12 months yesterday.
Lynn Walls, 42, first encountered the boy – who lived 240 miles away – while playing World of Warcraft
, the world’s most popular online game. In the role-playing game, which features humans and mythical creatures and has 11 million subscribers worldwide, Walls created a virtual self who was thin, attractive and blonde.
The overweight, divorced mother told police later that she had designed her virtual character to be “everything I am not”. The boy, from London, fell for the image. The pair had private discussions in an online chat room before Walls persuaded him to exchange mobile phone numbers.

From breakingnews.com:
The recent offer from World of Warcraft
allowing its players to change their sex for a paltry $15 resurrected the controversy over sex on the most popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) ever.
When game-maker Blizzard made the offer in December, WoW bloggers started posting reactions and comments rolled in at a rate of one per minute….and that was at 2 AM!
With more than 11.5 million subscribers, the topic of game sex is no small matter.
Critics of the game question the real reasons so many people spend hours playing the game, sometimes forfeiting sleep or other obligations. Game defenders say it is the action-packed quests for magical items. Critics say it’s the sex.

From wowinsider.com:

As you can see above, Fallon isn’t much for Azeroth — while Felicia is rocking a pretty hardcore Warlock, Jimmy still has a tough time getting past the character creation screen. But he did drum at least one laugh out of me (which is one more than he ever got from me on SNL), so well done. I very much agree with the commenters on the blog — if he can keep the show technology and geek-focused like this (and maybe get at least one character up to level 30 — all Felicia had to do was say "roll on a PvE server," right?), he might have a chance at filling Conan’s shoes.

From allakhazam.com:
Mia Rose is one of those closet gamers who at first glance, you’d never in a millions years assume has an 80 Warlock, and in a guild that has Malygos in farm status. However, that’s the reality. She’s an easy on the eyes gamer who speaks the language and would rather be at home raiding, then out at a party.
We had the opportunity to meet up with her at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) earlier in the month to get an idea as to just how big a gamer she really is. What we uncovered in the interview, might surprise you, excite you, and possibly even make you fall in love. If you thought Mia Rose was hot before, wait until you see her talk about World of Warcraft.

From asylum.com:
If you’re like us and spend half your time at work surfing the net for distractions, you’ve probably been distracted a lot by Felicia Day. Day writes and stars in the hit web sitcom "The Guild" and acted in both "Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog" and "Legend of Neil."
"The Guild," which is about to launch its second season, centers on a group of "World of Warcraft" players meeting in the real world for the first time. So she’s got a pretty good idea how a guy like you can meet a girl without giving up your crippling addiction to WOW. In other words, she reveals how to woo on WOW.
